Deepti helped to design, clone and test the expression, solubility and activity of an N-terminal deletion of human PON1. She also helped screen random mutants of PON1 and her deletion mutant. In 2008, Deepti cloned and expressed adenylate kinase from E. coli and B. subtilis and helped to clone, express and characterize consensus mutants of TIM. Deepti did research at Albert Einstein in the Bronx in the summer of 2009, and she graduated from Cornell in the spring of 2010. She started a Ph.D. program in cancer biology at Columbia University in the fall of 2010.
