Congratulations to recent CBC alum, Brittany Trang, on receiving the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to support her graduate career. She will be starting her PhD in Materials Chemistry at Northwestern University in the fall. Best of luck, Brittany!
Attention fellow Chemistry and Biochemistry buckeyes! It’s Alumni Award season for the OSU Alumni Association. During this time the association is accepting nominations until March 31st for a variety of awards.
Our department partnered with The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Chemistry Department at the ACS conference in Philadelphia, PA on August 23 for an Alumni reception. Our chair, Dr. Susan Olesik, along with Nebraska's chair, Dr. Berkowitz, welcomed alumni of all ages from around the country!
Erin Wilfong was born in Missouri, but moved to the Columbus area when she was in fourth grade and attended high school at Thomas Worthington.
Philanthropy: generosity, altruism, benevolence – a phrase that characterizes Chemical Physics alum, Ratmir Timashev. Ratmir, along with his business partner, Andrei Baronov, gifted the College of Arts and Sciences $5 million from their company, Veeam Software Corporation.
