Earlier this month, CBC hosted a Breakfast of Science Champions event, which gives Columbus City School students the opportunity to explore science, math, and engineering here at OSU! We hosted 94 students from Indianola and Ridgeview middle schools who met with the following CBC or Chem Eng groups/PI'S: Baker, Badu, Lindert, Sokolov, Zhang, Sevov, Nagib, McGrier, Rajanbabu, Wyzlouzil, Shafaat, Brunelli, and Hall. Students were divided into small groups throughout CBEC, Newman & Wolfrom, Celeste, and McPherson which allowed the students to interact closely with faculty and graduate students. Angela Miller and team brought some prep-lab fun to the day: their liquid nitrogen ice cream was a crowd favorite!
