Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

American Chemical Society

The purpose of the American Chemical Society Buckeye Chapter is to provide students with the opportunity to get involved with the American Chemical Society at a regional and national level, as well as teach them how to use the resources provided by the ACS. Additionally, our chapter aims to help students foster their interest in science by providing exposure to career opportunities within the chemistry field through guest speakers, field trips, and STEM community outreach, as well as providing students with networking opportunities in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry. Visit the ACS Buckeye Chapter's Facebook Page for more information.

National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE)

NOBCChE is a non-profit professional organization that is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive scientific community by increasing the number of underrepresented people in fields related to science and engineering. Our aim is to develop, retain, and graduate our undergraduate and graduate student members. In addition, we want to assist student members in transitioning into the job market or higher education programs after they graduate. To this end, each of our NOBCChE meetings is geared towards equipping our members with the tools to succeed by providing professional development, mental support, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Visit the NOBCChE homepage for the more details.
