Congratulations to Dr. Turro for this well-deserved award! The Columbus Section Award is presented every two years to an outstanding scientist in the field of chemical sciences, including chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, chemical engineering, materials sciences, and science education. The award is presented in recognition of development of professional careers, the promotion of chemistry, and also the promotion of chemists and engineers in the Columbus community.

 

As part of the reward, Dr. Turro will receive a check and an engraved bronze medal. She will also give a talk of her own choosing at the local American Chemical Society section meeting this coming September.
