Teaching Assistant Adam Bercz was awarded the Pasteur Foundation Summer Internship! The prestigious internship, granted to only five students, provides U.S. undergraduate students the opportunity to work on research project at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. During his ten weeks in Paris, the work Adam was doing aligned with his interest in emerging diseases, and also gave him the opportunity to acclimate to working in a foreign setting. Adam enjoyed his trip so much that he plans to return to the Pasteur Institute later in his career.

Graduate Students Bernice Agana and Cheng Wang have received Foods for Health Awards. These awards are given to the three graduate student researchers who provide 50 percent support for the 2017-2018 year. These students will work on a project to use metabolomics to address a problem in the food-nutrition-health axis, and will present at a national meeting.

Researcher Bo Zhang is one of three recipients of a recently announced Foods for Health postdoctoral researcher award! Bo will work on a project to address a problem in the food-nutrition-health axis, and present his findings at the annual meeting of the Metabolomics Society.

Congratulations Adam, Bernice, Cheng, and Bo on your well-deserved accomplishments!
