Study of the role of metals in biological systems, including iron and copper proteins, other metals including Zn, Co, Ni, Mg, and Ca, metal ion homeostatis, metals and nucleic acids, and cellular toxicity and medical applications of heavy metals.
Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 752.
