Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Title: Building Molecules for Function:  Ring Opening Polymerization of Reactive Monomers for Post Polymerization Functionalization

The allure of macromolecules is centered on the unique properties they possess. Extending future generations of these molecules into medicine has required the design of new monomers and strategies that preserve reactive handles for post-polymerization functionalization.  This presentation will describe the use of several translationally relevant chemistries, ring opening copolymerization and post-printing functionalization strategies that are impacting the practice of medicine and how physicians are planning for future therapies that were not possible previously.
