The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Safety Office and the student led Joint Safety Team will be hosting our 2nd Safety Olympics on Friday July 24, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Celeste lab.  There will be games and supplier tables (VWR, New Pig, Genius Lab Gear)  New this year, there will be a dunk tank that some of our PIs and staff have agreed to sit in and have you try to dunk them all in the name of safety.

Registration 

In order to participate in the PPE relay, What’s Wrong lab, and Escape room, you will need to register for the games with a partner.  So, grab a friend and register today using the link below.  Registration to labs outside of CBC will start very soon.

Walk-up Events

There will be a few walk-up events including the electronic fire extinguisher, safety trivia, and supplier tables.

 Volunteer 

In order to make this event a success, we need volunteers.  If we have enough volunteers, you can attend the event when you are not volunteering.  If you volunteer, you can get tickets to use at the dunk tank.  Final details are working on when certain PIs and staff will be in the dunk tank but you won’t want to miss it.  Those details will be shared once they are finalized.

Shuttle Service

In order to boost participation from south campus CBC labs, the Safety Office will be running a shuttle at various times during the event.  If you sign up and need a ride, please email moore.4061@osu.edu.  We will get you up to north campus and back to south campus when the event is over.
