Former OSU Chemistry Student Receives Outstanding Achievement and Promotion of the Chemical Sciences Award

Dr. Ronda Grosse receives ACS award.

This past Monday, May 2nd, former Ohio State PhD student, Dr. Ronda Grosse, was awarded the title of Outstanding Achievement and Promotion of the Chemical Sciences. There are a multitude of reasons Dr. Grosse was given this prestigious Midland section ACS award. She has a PhD in analytical chemistry courtesy of our very own university and she joined Dow Corning in 1992. She has held many technical and leadership roles in the analytical sciences and research and development during her tenure. Her main focus is on solving customer problems and technical challenges, in addition to mentoring others in their developing careers. She is not only the recipient of four DC technical achievement awards and a supply chain excellence award, but Dr. Grosse also is an active member of the ACS and an advocate for science education in local schools. She’s on the board of directors for the Chemists Without Borders non-profit organization, where she serves as a liaison with the ACS, as well as providing technical guidance and oversight. Congratulations, Dr. Grosse and thank-you for representing our Department in such a notable fashion.
