State Awards $1.8 Million to Support Commercialization of Early-Stage Technologies
Congratulations to Dr. Abraham Babu-Tawiah, who co-founded PantroniX. PantroniX is one of the nine organizations that will receive a portion of the nearly $1.8M approved by The Ohio Third Frontier Commission to support research and commercialization of early-stage technologies through the Technology Validation Start-up Fund (TVSF).
Pantronix LLC, located in the city of Columbus (Franklin County), was awarded $199,996 to commercialize a mass spectrometry component used for techniques that identify and quantify certain compounds in the field of analytical chemistry. Normally, different ionization sources are needed for analyzing samples with differing properties. This technology brings a universal method to ionizing various sample types, noticeably reducing analysis time. The technology is being licensed by The Ohio State University.
This is great news - Congratulations Abraham!
