CHEM 1250: General Chemistry for Engineers

First course for engineering majors, covering dimensional analysis, atomic and molecular structure, the mole, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, states of matter, solutions, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
Prereq: One unit of high school chemistry; and Math Placement Level L or M, or a grade of C- or above in Math 1120, 1130, 1131, 1148, or 1150, or above. Not open to students with credit for 1210, 1610, 1910H, 2310, 2510, 2610, or 2910H. This course is available for EM credit. GE nat sci phys course. GE foundation natural sci course.
