CHEM 2550: Organic Chemistry Laboratory II

Synthetic application to various organic reaction and spectroscopic characterization, scientific writing, computational chemistry, and the laboratory techniques of organic chemistry. The course includes application of synthesis, isolation, purification, and identification of organic compounds. Continued discussion of techniques and problem solving related to spectroscopy.
Prereq or concur: Chem 2520, 2620 or 2920H; and prereq: Chem 1208, 1210, 1250, 1610 or 1910H; and 1220, 1620 or 1920H; and 2510, 2610 or 2910H; and 2540; and Math Placement Level L or M or a grade of C- or above in Math 1120, 1130, 1131, 1148, 1150 or above.
